Duplicate a custom report—CRW

You can duplicate a report from the Custom Report Writer (CRW) Custom report list.

Duplicate a report from the Custom Report list

You can duplicate a report in the following ways:

  • Open the report to Edit. In Edit mode, CRW displays an additional Duplicate option.

  • Select More actions > Duplicate at the end of the row.

  • Open the report to Edit. In Edit mode, CRW displays an additional Duplicate option.

  • Select the Duplicate link in the list of reports.

  1. From the Custom reports list, select More actions > Duplicate at the end of the row.

    When you first duplicate a report, it appears to have the same name as the original.

  2. Go to the last step in the Custom Report Wizard (Save and add to menu) and enter a new name for the report. The number of steps listed varies with report details.
  3. Make the necessary changes.
  4. Save the report with the new name.

To rename a report, first duplicate the report and save it with a new name. Then, delete the old report.

Duplicate a report that's part of a package

A report that's part of a package cannot be edited directly. Follow these steps to duplicate and edit a report that's part of a package.

  1. Open the list of Custom reports. Go to Customization Services > Custom reports.
  2. Next to the package report, select Duplicate. This option creates a copy of the report that you can edit.
  3. Edit the duplicate report and save with a new name.

The new duplicate report is not affected when you update or delete the package to which the original report belongs.
