Fill out timesheets

Create and submit your timesheet to track the time that you spend on projects and tasks.

Before you begin, work with your administrator to determine whether to Configure Time for the following:
  • Autofill new timesheets with the department, class, and location in your employee record or from the project you are billing.
  • Autofill the Notes field with the task description, the date of the time worked, or both.
  1. Go to Time > All > Timesheets > and select Add (circle) next to My timesheets.

  2. Enter or select a Begin date.

  3. Optionally, enter a Description.

  4. Optionally, add an Attachment.

Enter line items

  1. Select a Project.

  2. Choose a Task.

    The fields that are displayed depend on your configuration. You can complete the fields. For more information, go to Field descriptions: Fill out timesheets.
  3. Select a Location.

  4. Optionally, enter hours in each date.

    Double-click a time entry to add custom fields to timesheets, such as Customer, Item, or Contract. The fields available depend on how your account is set up. For more information, go to Define custom fields for business-specific data.
  5. Select Submit or choose Draft & continue.
