General Ledger

DATEV export files enhancements

Transactions that post to the General Ledger are now included in the DATEV export data. This includes direct General Ledger bookings and Fixed Assets bookings.

This update helps organizations export DATEV files that more fully reflect their financial activity. For example, you can export direct journal postings and fixed asset transactions for use by accountants, tax advisors, or financial advisors who rely on DATEV-compatible data.

Key benefits

  • Improved tax and audit compliance: Aligns DATEV export functionality with German financial and tax reporting expectations.

  • Enhanced reporting: Generates more complete DATEV export files by including General Ledger and Fixed Assets transactions.

How it works

When you generate a DATEV export, Sage Intacct extracts the relevant company and transactional data for your selected period and outputs that data in the DATEV format. You can share the exported files with accountants or tax advisors for financial statement preparation, tax return preparation, or other reporting activities that require DATEV-compatible records.

DATEV exports now include additional transaction types that post to the general ledger. Specifically, direct General Ledger bookings and Fixed Assets bookings are incorporated into the DATEV export data.
