Key benefits
Customer Payments powered by Fortis delivers several advantages for your accounts receivable team:
Faster payments: Customers can pay directly from AR sales invoice emails, helping you collect payments faster.
Improved accuracy: Automated payment tracking and reconciliation reduce manual errors and administrative overhead.
Enhanced visibility: Real-time payment status updates and audit trails provide better control and transparency.
Customer convenience: A secure payment experience improves customer satisfaction and reduces friction. Customers can schedule future payments and save payment methods for later use.
Level 3 card processing rates: Sage Intacct sends detailed AR sales invoice data to Fortis. For B2B and high-value transactions, this can mean a noticeable saving in card processing fees.
How it works
Subscribe to and set up Customer Payments powered by Fortis.
Add customer AR sales invoices with the payment service option enabled.
Use the Print or email option to email AR sales invoices to customers.
Your customers can then select the link in the email to submit their payment, or you can accept their payment by entering the card or ACH details they provide.
Good to know
When your customer selects the link in the AR sales invoice, they can decide which AR sales invoices to pay, make partial payments, and schedule payments for a date in the future.
When you set up recurring AR sales invoices, your customer can select Auto-Pay in the portal when making the first payment. This means that those AR sales invoices are processed automatically, and you or your customer do not need to make further payments manually.
You can accept a payment directly from the customer by entering their payment details, either card or ACH. Fortis processes the payment, and Intacct keeps track of the payment flow.
When you create a refund against an AR sales invoice that was paid through the portal, Fortis processes it against the original payment method, and Intacct keeps track of the transaction.
The status of AR sales invoices is updated as payments are made, so you can keep track of the status of payments on the AR sales invoices list or on individual AR sales invoices.
