Get ready for 1099 season
Prepare for Tax Year 2026 reporting by reviewing this year's form changes, verifying your 1099 setup, and deciding how you'll file forms.
Prepare for filing season
To help ensure a smooth filing process, focus on the following items:
Review the Tax Year 2026 form changes in the section below.
Verify that your company, vendors, and employees are set up for 1099 processing.
Decide whether you'll e-file or print and mail forms.
Run the 1099 report and review reporting amounts.
Filing options
If you file 10 or more information returns, the IRS generally requires electronic filing. Use the TaxBandits integration to e-file 1099 forms directly from Sage Intacct.
If you plan to print forms, order the updated forms from the supported forms provider. These forms are the only forms that we support. Purchasing forms from other vendors might result in printing issues.
After receiving the forms, print a test copy and verify the alignment before processing the complete set.
