View stories in IVE

After you create and refine slides of Interactive Visual Explorer (IVE) dashboards, you can share your story in the following ways:

Present live data

You can present the story of your IVE data to a live audience. For example, if you are in a meeting and questions arise about data trends, you can show the live data. Presenting live data is far more engaging for an audience.

In Presentation mode, IVE resembles a dashboard in which Canvases and Properties areas are hidden from view.
  1. From the Narrate workspace, select Present.
  2. Present the story of the data in the following ways:
    • Move through your slides by selecting the arrows at the bottom of the page. The indicator at the bottom center of the page indicates which slide you are on.
    • Select Use as Filter on a visualization to filter the data on a slide. Filtering data focuses on data that's relevant to the current conversation.
  3. To exit presentation mode, select the X at the top right of the page.

Export slides to files

You can export slides to the file type, size, and layout format of your choice.

  1. From the Narrate workspace, select the Share icon Select the Share icon to export a presentation to a File or Print format..
  2. Select the desired format for your presentation: File or Print.
  3. Choose the appropriate options for the selected format: File or Print.
    4. Narrate export options
    Option Description
    Name Name of the file to be exported.

    Format

    (File only)

    Choose one of the following file types:

    • PowerPoint (pptx)

    • Acrobat (pdf)

    • Image (png)

    • Data (csv)
    Include

    Choose from the following:

    • Active Page

    • Active Visual

    • All Story Pages
    Size Set the size of the file.
    Orientation

    Choose the desired layout format: Portrait or Landscape.
