Import service Early Adopter and Betas
Participating in our import service Early Adopter and Beta programs allows you to influence the development of new features and get early access to what's coming next. The following explains the purpose of Early Adopter and Beta releases and what you can expect.
Early Adopter
An Early Adopter release is a stage in software development where a complete, but potentially glitchy, version of a feature is released to all customers for testing. This allows Sage Intacct to gather valuable feedback from a wide range of users before the official launch. Early Adopter software could contain more issues and performance challenges than a finished product.
By participating in an Early Adopter, you play a crucial role in shaping the final product. Your experience and feedback will help us identify and fix issues, improve usability, and ensure a smooth launch of the completed feature.
While Early Adopter programs offer a chance to explore new features early, it's important to remember that the software is still under development. You could encounter occasional bugs, crashes, or features that are not fully functional yet. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward a flawless general availability release.
Early Adopter programs serve two important purposes:
-
They allow us to showcase the new feature to potential users and generate excitement for the official launch.
-
By opening the testing pool to a wider audience, we're more likely to uncover obscure errors that a smaller internal team could miss. This real-world testing helps us deliver a more polished and user-friendly experience for everyone.
Betas
A Beta release targets a limited number of users who are selected to test the feature. These users are current customers or Early Adopters and work closely with the development team to iterate on the state of the feature.
This allows Sage Intacct to gather valuable feedback from specific users before allowing a wider audience to experiment with the feature. Like an Early Adopter, Beta software could contain more issues and performance challenges than a finished product.
