Welcome to Projects

A project is a framework for tracking and managing the financials for a type or area of business. Sage Intacct provides a selection of Projects applications, each with a unique level of project management and project accounting capabilities.

Your ability to access these Projects applications depends on your user privileges and Projects subscriptions.

Subscribe to Projects

Depending on your company's accounting needs, you might subscribe to any of the Sage Intacct project management applications.

  • To request a subscription to a Projects application, contact your Sage Intacct administrator.
  • For Sage Intacct Business users with admin privileges, see Configure Projects.

What's available in Projects

Sage Intacct offers the following suite of Projects modules and dimensions. For more

  • Basic project tracking: Track projects for reporting purposes.
  • Task tracking: Track task transactions for reporting purposes.
  • Project costing: Track the entirety of project costs.
  • Project costing and billing: Track project costs and generate invoices.
  • Project and resource management: Track projects, tasks, costing and billing, manage resources, and forecast and usage reporting.

Types of projects

The Construction industry uses specific terminology that can differ from Sage Intacct terminology. Understand how Sage Intacct terms align with Construction industry terms.

You can then change Sage Intacct terminology to match Construction industry terms. For example, you can change Project to Job.
